Firecracker is an orange Chevrolet K30 Dually single-cab pickup with a large roll bar and saddle plate on the cargo bed, and a motorcycle attached to the tailgate and rear bumper. Firecracker transforms into an exploration vehicle that is powered up in transformed mode.
The toy featured Hondo McLean with his blaster mask. In the first wave of toys, in the U.S., the short version of the mask was there, from the second wave the long version. From the boxes you can see which version was in which box. See further down.
Firecracker was completely destroyed in the animated series in episode 29, but miraculously comes back in episodes 54, 62 and 63.
(read more)Firecracker also recognizes the origin of the 80s by its very eye-catching design. Orange with colorful accents on the hood and doors, and an air scoop in the hood. A chrome roll bar, chrome grille, chrome bumpers and rims complete the look. In addition, Firecracker has an off-road package. This includes a lift, black fender flares and a bull bar at the front.
Firecracker has a lot of accessories and has great action features. Firecracker has opening doors, an opening tailgate, a spare tire that attaches to the saddle plate, special fog lights on the front bullbar and upper roll bar, and a motorcycle that attaches to the tailgate.
The motorcycle can be removed from its mount on the tailgate. The tailgate bracket can also be removed to allow the tailgate to open and close normally.
The transformation of Firecrackers is very well solved and happens with only one button. By pressing the button in front of the left rear wheel, the entire body of the toy rides up on spring-loaded struts. After that, under the fenders of each rear wheel guns appear, which are directed to the rear, and automatically two gun barrels come out of the radiator grille (which is no longer hidden by the bumper).
Pressing the black switch on the left rear fender triggers the boomerang tire, which automatically extends blades from its tread when it bounces off the saddle plate.
There were 8 stickers that had to be attached.
