M.A.S.K. has its headquarters at a gas station in Boulder Hill. Boulder Hill Gas works as a functional gas station, complete with gas pumps and a repair garage. Buddie "Clutch" Hawks, M.A.S.K. agent in charge of upkeep on the fleet of transforming vehicles, also maintains the gas station's cover as a working facility. If under attack, the gas station has offensive and defensive transformation abilities, including freeze cannons and armor plating.

Inside, M.A.S.K.'s headquarters is far from ordinary; M.A.S.K.'s vehicles are stored inside, as well as theenergizing device that powers the team's masks. Matt Trakker has a subterranean transportation system that shuttles him between his mansion and M.A.S.K. headquarters. All this is supplemented by an incredibly powerful computer.

The MASK energy room is one of the central elements of the first MASK episodes.

Hidden deep in Boulder Hill, the energy room consists of two parts. The room where the M.A.S.K. agents come together to discuss the mission, and the actual energy room, also called the mask room.

The table and chairs in the energy room are on a huge platform, which rises up following the meeting.

Once the platform has moved up, it reaches the mask room where the masks will be charged for the mission.

The masks are moved out of the ceiling with the energizing device. The energizing device can hold a maximum of 8 masks.

After the energizing device was mopved out of the ceiling, the arms fold out and an energy beam flows through them, into the masks. With this, the masks are then charged for the mission, and can be used.

In the course of the episodes, the energy room always looks different. He has several designs.

The M.A.S.K. Computer is housed at both Matt Trakker's mansion and at Boulder Hill. Trakker often uses voice commands to ask the computer to analyse objects and photographs and has programmed the computer to select the most suitable M.A.S.K. agents for each mission.

Occasionally, Trakker uses a portable version housed in a suitcase that has the same capabilities.

The computer is also connected to all MASK vehicles. So Matt uses it regularly in Thunderhawk to let the computer choose the best agents for the mission.

Every MASK agent had it, every fan wanted it, the iconic MASK watch.

With the watch, today we would say smartwatch, the agents were informed that they were selected by the M.A.S.K. computer for a mission.

A flashing mask, similar to Matt's Ultra Flash mask, appeared in the watch's display, signaling to the agents that they were needed.

These left thereupon everything and drop, and hurried to the mission.

The watch was silver / red with a metal bracelet.

Rhino has many different technologies as a mobile operations center. One of them has an important role to play in the episode, so I want to highlight it.

Rhino's ATV, it´s All-Terrain Vehicle.

The rear of Rhino, behind the sleeping cabin, houses the ATV. This could be driven out. Rhino leaves the outer part of the 1st axle, the inner wheels form the front axle of the ATV. Then the saddle plate is opened and a driver can take a seat.

The ATV itself is also equipped with weapons.

The ATV was always used when Rhino, or the other vehicles, was broken down, or Rhino did not get on and a small maneuverable vehicle was needed.

The ATV is part of the toy and is a cool feature.

T-BOB technologies, activities, outfits:

Like all MASK agents' vehicles, Scott's vehicle can transform T-Bob. In this, and many other episodes, T-Bob's default mode can be seen.

T-Bob has a wheel on which he can ride after his transformation, like a one-wheeled scooter.

Scott uses T-Bob very often as a means of transportation, transforming T-Bob into scooter mode.

This mode was also part of the toy, but rather poorly implemented, as T-Bob had 3 wheels here.

In order for Scott to communicate with his father Matt Trakker, T-Bob has installed a communication system.

The keypad, microphone and speaker are located on the back of T-Bob's head. Covered with a flap.

The communication system often helps Scott and T-Bob out of trouble, but Scott has also used it to save a mission or two.

Scott can contact the M.A.S.K. team with it, or he is contacted over it by the M.A.S.K. team.

The Roteks are biologically enigineered insects that appeared in the episode The Roteks.

According to Duane Kennedy of the P.N.A, Roteks were a special breed of metal-eating insects created in a top secret lab for warfare. 'Just drop them behind enemy lines and let them go to town' The insects are deu to multiply each 12 hours, making them a virtually unstoppable pest.

V.E.N.O.M. had managed to get their hands on a colony of Roteks thanks to a spy in the laboratory where they were developed. This undisclosed spy left the colony at exactly the right coordinates for the agents of V.E.N.O.M. to pick them up.

None of the M.A.S.K. vehicles could withstand the destructive power of the Roteks. But Matt Trakker urged Alex Sector to develop a way of driving the insects crazy by using a special frequency emited from Trakker's Spectrum mask. It took a couple of tries to find the correct frequency, but Trakker remembered that the Roteks were especially responsive to the frequency emited from his son Scott's birdcaller.

By using this frequency, Trakker managed to turn the tables on Miles Mayhem and V.E.N.O.M, who became the focus of the Roteks themselves. Later, Trakker used a modified version of this frequency to lure the Roteks back into their containment unit so they could be returned to the laboratory they came from.

Summary of The Roteks

Location of the episode*: USA

Summery:

Safety tip*
T-Bob tests the safety of his building by smashing one of the bricks with a sledgehammer. It bursts into a thousand pieces and hits T-Bob in the eye. Matt has to clean the robot eye because T-Bob can't see anything anymore. Fortunately, Scott was wearing protective glasses.

Facts worth knowing about The Roteks

Small mistakes in the episode*:

•After Matt Trakker approves the M.A.S.K. computer selection of the MASK agents, the computer says 'transmitting M.A.S.K. signal code' but we've already seen each MASK agent receiving the call on their watches individually.
•During the overhead shot in the M.A.S.K. conference room, Matt Trakker is seen wearing his Rhino uniform. In the next shot it has changed to his Thunderhawk outfit. Hondo's outfit also has the wrong colors in the first shot.
•When Hondo MacLean climbs onto the back of Buddy Hawks' motorcycle, Buddy's jacket is blue instead of purple.
•After Brad Turner and Condor are forced onto the ground, the ridge on top of his mask is grey instead of black in one shot.
