M.A.S.K. has its headquarters at a gas station in Boulder Hill. Boulder Hill Gas works as a functional gas station, complete with gas pumps and a repair garage. Buddie "Clutch" Hawks, M.A.S.K. agent in charge of upkeep on the fleet of transforming vehicles, also maintains the gas station's cover as a working facility. If under attack, the gas station has offensive and defensive transformation abilities, including freeze cannons and armor plating.

Inside, M.A.S.K.'s headquarters is far from ordinary; M.A.S.K.'s vehicles are stored inside, as well as theenergizing device that powers the team's masks. Matt Trakker has a subterranean transportation system that shuttles him between his mansion and M.A.S.K. headquarters. All this is supplemented by an incredibly powerful computer.

The MASK energy room is one of the central elements of the first MASK episodes.

Hidden deep in Boulder Hill, the energy room consists of two parts. The room where the M.A.S.K. agents come together to discuss the mission, and the actual energy room, also called the mask room.

The table and chairs in the energy room are on a huge platform, which rises up following the meeting.

Once the platform has moved up, it reaches the mask room where the masks will be charged for the mission.

The masks are moved out of the ceiling with the energizing device. The energizing device can hold a maximum of 8 masks.

After the energizing device was mopved out of the ceiling, the arms fold out and an energy beam flows through them, into the masks. With this, the masks are then charged for the mission, and can be used.

In the course of the episodes, the energy room always looks different. He has several designs.

The M.A.S.K. Computer is housed at both Matt Trakker's mansion and at Boulder Hill. Trakker often uses voice commands to ask the computer to analyse objects and photographs and has programmed the computer to select the most suitable M.A.S.K. agents for each mission.

Occasionally, Trakker uses a portable version housed in a suitcase that has the same capabilities.

The computer is also connected to all MASK vehicles. So Matt uses it regularly in Thunderhawk to let the computer choose the best agents for the mission.

The M.A.S.K.Transport Jet is an enormous transport plane used by M.A.S.K. to fly their vehicles to other locations.

In the episode Caesar's Sword, Gloria Baker is seen piloting the Transport Jet with Hondo MacLean as her co-pilot.

In the episode Green Nightmare, Alex Sector and Dusty Hayes are at the controls, with Brad Turner serving as navigator. Alex and Dusty are again seen piloting the vehicle in the episode The Everglades Oddity, while Ace Riker, who is an ex-test pilot, looks over their shoulders.

Alex is once more seen piloting the jet in The Creeping Terror, with Jacques LaFleur as co-pilot and Matt & Scott Trakker in passenger seats while T-Bob is blow drying Scott's hair.

In the episode Plunder of Glowworm Grotto, the pilot is Bruce Sato, with Dusty once again serving as co-pilot and Gloria in the navigators position. However, Bruce boards Julio Lopez's vehicle Firefly and exits the Transport Jet while still in flight. Then Dusty saves Bruce's life using his Backlash mask from inside the Jet's hangar bay door. Thus leaving Gloria allone to pilot the vehicle.

In several episodes, such as Curse of Solomon's Gorge; The Lost Fleet and Follow the Rainbow the Transport Jet lifts off immediately after dispatching the M.A.S.K. vehicles and agents with no indication who could be flying it.

In the episode Panda Power, an unidentified pilot drives a forklift carrying a crate out of the transport, deposits the crate on the ground and leaves.

In the episode Dragonfire, Scott Trakker mistakingly calls the Transport Jet a "hovercraft".

In the episode Stone Trees, the Transport Jet is unable to land in the Canadian forest, so Condor flies out and Volcano dives off the ramp with a parachute. It is unclear if Volcano is being operated by remote control or has an unseen driver since Jacques LaFleur was already on location. It is also unclear who piloted the jet during this mission.

Similarly, in The Scarlet Empress, Raven exits the Jet while it still in the air and the transport pilot is never referenced.

In the episode 'Treasure of the Nazca Plain, Bruce Sato is manning a communication station aboard the jet with Brad Turner and Julio Lopez looking over his shoulder. Who is piloting at this time remains unknown.

In Gate of Darkness, Brad Turner seves as pilot and Buddy Hawks is the navigator. Matt requests that Brad makes a video scan of the Gate of Darkness using a multi-headed camera that deploys from the bottom of the jet. Matt then orders Brad and Dusty to do a Trans-Drop, ejecting their vehicles Condor and Firecracker from the plane while it hovers in mid-air.

Two of the same projectors used as a camera in Gate of Darkness are used to create a magnetic barrier over a ship in The Manakara Giant. Once again, the M.A.S.K. vehicles, in this case Thunderhawk and Raven exit the hovering Transport jet.

In Raiders of the Orient Express, Slingshot, Condor and Thunderhawk are seen boarding the Transport Jet. It remains unknown who opens the landing doors for them. All of them exit the Transport in flight.

From Thunderhawk's temporary equipment we know so far the magnetic disc launcher and the winch. In this episode, an underwater turbine is added.

This was, like the other technologies, installed in the weapon compartment on the underbody of Thunderhawk.

After Thunderhawk gets caught in Switchblade's exhaust jet during a fight with Switchblade, Thunderhawk crashes into the North Sea.

To save himself from drowning, Matt uses the underwater turbine here.

Like all MASK agents' vehicles, Scott's vehicle can transform T-Bob. In this, and many other episodes, T-Bob's default mode can be seen.

T-Bob has a wheel on which he can ride after his transformation, like a one-wheeled scooter.

Scott uses T-Bob very often as a means of transportation, transforming T-Bob into scooter mode.

This mode was also part of the toy, but rather poorly implemented, as T-Bob had 3 wheels here.

In order for Scott to communicate with his father Matt Trakker, T-Bob has installed a communication system.

The keypad, microphone and speaker are located on the back of T-Bob's head. Covered with a flap.

The communication system often helps Scott and T-Bob out of trouble, but Scott has also used it to save a mission or two.

Scott can contact the M.A.S.K. team with it, or he is contacted over it by the M.A.S.K. team.

V.E.N.O.M. Technologies:

The Ultra Sound Analyzer was a Dutch invention used to check the many dykes of the Netherlands for safety. A Dutchman named Johan asked a technician to give visiting Americans Matt Trakker, his son Scott and the robot T-Bob a demonstration of this device, when suddenly T-Bob and all the animals in the vicinity began reacting to a sonic sound only they could here. Moments later, the dyke they were standing near broke, causing all four of them to be swept away by incoming water. It is unclear what happened to the technician operating the Analyser at this point.

Agents of V.E.N.O.M. stole one of these devises and modified it to destroy a dyke with pure sonic vibrations. When active, the device could only be heard by animals and mechanical beings. This was merely a test run to impress a wealthy contractor named Wellick, who had hired Miles Mayhem in order to become Prime Minister of the Netherlands.

Impressed with this first demonstration, Wellick approved Phase II of Mahyem's plan which involved a giant version of the Analyzer located on an oil tanker which could also disguise itself as an oil platform. Wellick personally called the Dutch prime minister and told him to resign his position in favor of him, or all the dykes in the Netherlands would be destroyed.

When Miles Mayhem activated the giant Analyser to destroy the dykes, Wellick admited that he didn't really want to destroy his home country, but was only bluffing. Mayhem claimed he never bluffed and proceeded. Wellick was pleased when M.A.S.K. began jamming the machine. He told Mayhem to turn off the Analyser and give him back his money. But Mayhem replied he'd keep the money, and add whatever the Dutch government was willing to pay him to stop to it.

Agents of M.A.S.K. arrived on the scene and Brad Turner used the Antimatter Beam on his vehicle Condor to blow a hole in the ship/oil platform, flooding it and causing the Analyser to explode. Wellick and his cat managed to reach the outside of the ship by sliding across it's sinking surface. He was caught by another agent, Dusty Hayes who arrived on the scene in Gator.

In that episode VENOM operates an oil tanker as a base of operations that can transform into an oil platform.

The transformable oil tanker is very unusual for the series, as there were normally no other vehicles in the series that could transform, except for the M.A.S.K. and V.E.N.O.M vehicles.

The ship could straighten up in a 90° angle, with the bow sinking to a certain depth. Then the bridge and stern could unfold, forming the platform of the oil rig.

Furthermore, there was a hatch for Piranha and an opening with landing pad for Switchblade.

The tanker was sunk by Brad and Gloria at the end of the episode.

One of the landmarks of the Netherlands, besides tulips, which we see at the very beginning of the episode, are windmills. And in the episode, one of the windmills is used in a very special way.

When T-Bob wakes up one night, he sees a windmill flying by the window. Of course, Scott and Matt do not believe him a word as he tells them about it.

During a visit to windmills, T-Bob wants to prove to Scott that the windmills fly, which does not happen at first.

And then it does happen. At one of the windmills, the blades turn faster and faster, until it takes off.

Scott informs Matt and he takes Thunderhawk in pursuit.

As he flies closer and closer to the windmill, the blades stop and the windmill begins to break. As it then turns out, it is Switchblade who transforms from the helicopter into the jet. Switchblade was disguised as a windmill for the mission.

Summary of In Dutch

Location of the episode*: The Netherlandsndy.

Short summery*: A power hungry millionaire named Wellick has hired V.E.N.O.M. to steal a machine that can cause ultra sonic vibrations. Wellick wants to become vice president of the Netherlands, and if his demands are not met he will destroy all of Holland's dykes. He only wanted to bluff -- too bad Mayhem never bluffs.

Safety tip*
While Matt and Scott are playing tennis, T-Bob copies a stunt he saw on tv and jumps off the mansion roof while yelling like Tarzan. The Trakkers tell him he should never do that and explain that stunts people are trained experts and some stunts are just camera tricks.

Facts worth knowing about In Dutch

Particularly in this episode*:

•Mayhem hitches a ride with Manta after Switchblade is disabled by Thunderhawk.

Small mistakes in the episode*:

•The mask of Matt comes out of the roof in Thunderhawk in flight mode, where is it stored there?
Matt Trakker uses the vocal command "mask" to lower his mask onto his head. A moment later, Dusty Hayes uses the same command when he is already wearing his mask and is launching the boat section from Gator instead.
